Area Rug

What things should I look for when buying a carpet?
I need a "10 x 6 'and 11' x 7 'rug. The carpet under a table and chairs with wheels. lots of traffic in this area. What should I look? what kind of material? which is a good manufacturer of carpets? retailer sells what good?
First of all, are you looking for a jewel relic? Try Persian rugs and Oriental rugs. Very expensive. You can set a copy of a pair of tail but increase in value over time. You need to look behind the carpet quality. You are looking for hand embroidery and a lot of details, etc. The feature more important to me is durability and easy cleaning. Some can be put into the washing machine, others need special cleaners, some are spot clean only. The second important feature for me is the texture. I like soft plush carpets that you can walk with bare feet. Of course, the choice of color and design are important. (Flower? Transition? Contemporary?) I like the transition. I am a fan of Mohawk and Shaw carpets. You can find them at Home Depot. Reasonable prices machine made carpets.
