Can blueberry plants (top hat/blue crops) be grown from cuttings? Please advise.?

Would like to grow a blueberry bush in my garden. How easy is it to grow blueberry plants from cuttings? Thanks.

Blueberries take a fairly long time to root. Because of this it's very easy to rot the cutting before roots start. On a commercial basis, this is how it's done: Take the cuttings from new growth that forms after flowering. The cutting shouldn't have flower buds or fruit on it, and should be semi-woody. In Zone 4, this is about mid-July. Make the cutting about 5" long, and strip off the lower 1/3 of the leaves. Your rooting media needs to be very well drained, 1-1 perlite & vermiculite works well for me. Pinch off the very top of the stem, and dip into a rooting hormone, then tap off the excess. Intermittant mist is essential to keep the foliage damp, but you can't keep the media constantly soggy. Chlorinated water helps alot to keep the bacteria to a minimum. Also dipping your knife, and your tray is important. (One part bleach to 20 times water is enough) Remember about blueberries, you get better pollination with two different cultivars.
