Does anyone know what this vintage candy is?
They are apparently the size of small dinner mints (but they are not mints) and they look like gray pillows with ridges on the edges. They're probably from around the 60s and 70s, and they melt in your mouth. The flavor was supposedly odd, and some people have said they tasted like soap. I think they also had a bit of some powder around them. If you think you might have even a slight clue as to what these candies are, please gimme some help, thanks! :]
A couple things come to mind that may be it. Anything horehound related has a bad taste, usually covered in powder to keep from sticking, and is brown to gray. But it's a hard candy and doesn't melt in the mouth too fast.
The other is Violet Mints. They takes kind of how "grandma smells," and you would think soap.
